The refractory period can be split into two separate periods: the <a href=\"https:\/\/eprojects.isucomm.iastate.edu\/314-4-kbcm\/2016\/11\/16\/absolute-refractory-period\/\">absolute refractory period<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/eprojects.isucomm.iastate.edu\/314-4-kbcm\/2016\/11\/16\/relative-refractory-period\/\">relative refractory period<\/a>.
