They just keep coming back.
Our company was formed in 2015, when Ben Sciesziski realized that, although boomerangs were prevalent in other countries, there really wasn’t an easy way to get them in the United States. With all the open spaces in Iowa, Ben decided to call his good friend Lin Gao, and after they teamed up, Backfire was put into motion.
With the addition of Breanne Brousil, Sterling Schaefer, and Steven Tallman, Backfire Boomerang’s team was able to come up with a business plan, hire a few valuable employees, and start creating the company in business today.
In late 2016, production began. The Backfire team all agreed on one very important fact: the environment is important. After reaching out to the Iowa Environmental Council, they were able to find a way to make the smallest carbon footprint.
2017 was a good year for Backfire – to their delight, sports equipment distributors across Iowa agreed to expand into the boomerang market. Although it was a slow start, more and more local retailers are catching on to this boomerang trend.
Now, Backfire manufactures around 100,000 boomerangs each year. This number is slowly increasing, as more sports equipment companies begin to expand into the boomerang market.
The Backfire team is looking forward to what lies ahead for us and we would like to thank all the people who helped make our vision a reality. We would especially like to thank you, the reader, for the support you have given by just visiting this website, and we hope to make you proud.
