Hello! My name is Mikaela and I am an Iowa State University senior majoring in Event Management as well as minoring in Entrepreneurial Studies.

Music therapy is something I am passionate about because I have seen what music can do for you – physically and mentally. Rachel Kucera and I have a special bond because we are sisters. I have seen her grow from childhood to adulthood.
Music in general is something I am very passionate about. I grew up on piano lessons, trombone lessons, voice lessons, concert band, jazz band, choir, jazz choir, and winter drumline; I was also involved with the musical every year. It was easy to develop a blog for Ignite Music Therapy because I understand how music can change one’s life.
