Mondays through Saturdays from 11 am-2 pm, Fuji is entertaining hungry audiences at the Hibachi Grill for only $8. I went to scope out the “lunch and a show” to see if it was worth the amazing price, and was pleasantly surprised.
The environment in Fuji was friendly and welcoming, and had a lot of traditional Japanese style interior. The $8 special had a wide variety of options to chose from including a vegetarian option. When the chef that was serving my grill, Chef Febrian, came out, he was welcoming and excited to serve us.
Hibachi is an art form. Chef’s are required to go to culinary school, are trained and taught the tricks of Hibachi. Captivating customers with tricks is what makes Hibachi unique and draws people in. Chef Febrian had a variety of tricks up his sleeve and was very entertaining.
As for the food, I ordered Hibachi chicken with rice and veggies. This dish was colorful and tasted delicious as it was made with fresh ingredients and served right off the grill.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to go out to eat and have a good time. This is not a fast food option, if you’re running late to another event or have somewhere to be within an hour, steer clear. Otherwise whether you’re with the kids, on a date, celebrating a birthday, or just wanting to switch up the dinner routine, I give Fuji five out of five stars.
