Hey! My name is Avery Stoll and I am a freshman here at Iowa State University. I am from Grove City, Ohio which is a city about a ten minute drive from downtown Columbus. I graduated from Grove City High School a week and a half ago. I am on the Women’s Gymnastics team here at Iowa State, Go Cyclones! A fun fact about me is that I was homeschooled sixth through ninth grade so that I could do gymnastics practice during the day and have my evenings free.
My future plans include getting my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a Pre-Health option, and then going to medical school to get a doctorate in Sports Medicine to ultimately become a Sports Medicine Physician. I want to help athletes heal and stay healthy so that they can do what they love. I am taking this course to learn more about Native American history as well as modern day Native Americans and their lives.
I love to watch and take pictures of sunsets, especially on the beach; play cards with my family and friends; and to try new restaurants everywhere I travel. I look forward to getting to know everyone and having intellectual class discussions in the coming weeks.
